DAYTON, Ohio – The Akron Zips dropped two games against Dayton, 5-0 and 1-0, Sunday afternoon after struggling to get going offensively at the dish and well executed pitching by the Flyers at the UD Softball complex.
"We struggled at the plate and that's what the game came down to. You can't win games without scoring runs," said head coach Julie Jones. "Our pitching kept us in the game and gave us a chance to win but unfortunately we couldn't not pull through."
The Zips fall to 13-12 on the year and remain one game over .
