Murray, Ky. – After 36-holes at the Murray State Jan Weaver Intercollegiate, the Akron Zips women's golf team rank sixth overall with a 640 (+64) 36-hole total. Senior Frida Fougberg (Partille, Sweden) and freshman Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) led the way at the par 72 Miller Memorial Golf Club that spans 6,017 yards.
Fougberg and Nicolson carded two-round scores of 155 (+11) strokes, while ranking eighth overall. Fougberg opened with an 81 (+9) and followed with a 2-over par 74 while Nicholson recorded rounds of 80 (+8) and 75 (+3), respectively.
