After Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano led his team to a win over the Houston Texans to close the 2017-18 season with a 4-12 record, he appeared to have tears in his eyes as he left the field.
"I've never been around a group of guys like this, players and coaches, before," Pagano said after the game. "So many disappointing Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, whatever. But what a way to go out. ... They can walk out of here with their heads high."
The sixth year Colts coach said he hadn't yet talked to owner Jim Irsay about his future with the team nor did he know when he would talk to Irsay and General Manager Chris Ballard on Monday.
