Matt Rhule has primarily worked in college football during his relatively young coaching career. Here’s a list of his assistant coaching jobs at the college level:
- 1998: Linebackers coach at Albright
- 1999-2000: Defensive line coach at Buffalo
- 2001: Defensive line coach at UCLA
- 2002-2005: Linebackers/offensive line/special teams coach, run game coordinator, and assistant head coach at Western Carolina
- 2006-20011: Quarterbacks/tight ends coach, offensive coordinator at Temple
2012 was the first and only year Rhule coached in the NFL as he was the Giants’ offensive line coach.
He accepted the head coaching job at Temple in 2013.
