Pete Carroll’s defensive coordinators have been consistently getting hired for head coaching jobs after their time in Seattle. That’s one reason why Kris Richard has begun to create some buzz as a coach on the rise in the NFL.
Richard is the fourth candidate that will reportedly interview for the Colts’ head coaching job. The Colts have reportedly requested permission to interview Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
Another report indicated that the Colts have already been granted permission to interview Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel.
