The Oregon women's soccer team recorded its first win of the 2017 season Sunday, 2-0 over Kansas State before 404 fans at Papé Field. The Ducks bounced back from their loss Friday to North Carolina State, defeating a Wildcats team in its second season of competition.
How It Happened: Marissa Everett lead the Ducks (1-1) by scoring both goals, in the 26th and 49th minute, respectively.
The Ducks played with an attacking mentality, possessing the ball heavily in the Wildcats' backfield. Midway through the first half, Everett lined up a free kick just on top of the penalty box and blasted the ball in the top right corner with her right foot.
