Marcus Mariota performed as if the Tennessee Titans were in the middle of the 2017 regular season, not the preseason.
The quarterback was sharp and looked in midseason form Saturday afternoon during the Titans 34-27 win against the Carolina Panthers at Nissan Stadium.
Mariota completed 6-of-8 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown, a four-yard scoring pass to tight end Delanie Walker. Mariota also ran once for nine yards while playing two series in the game. Mariota's performance represented another step in his return after suffering a broken leg in December.
