According to Pierre LeBrun, the Toronto Maple Leafs are getting closer to re-signing restricted free agent Richard Panik.

Panik was a valuable waiver pickup that played well for Toronto throughout the season despite the teams general struggles.
It shouldn’t cost them too much money, or too much term, to keep the good bottom-six winger around.

Also according to LeBrun, the Leafs are getting some more calls on the 24th overall pick.
