- Costa Rica have never previously won the tournament themselves, but confidence will be high in their camp as they boast arguably their best team in over a decade. Even without many of their European-based players, they should prove a real handful for the hosts tonight.
- While a place in the final is plenty enough for these sides, USA will have added motivation following the 4-0 humiliation they suffered against Costa Rica in World Cup qualifying in November, which also served as Jurgen Klinsmann’s last game in charge of the national team.
