The Colorado Rapids goalkeeper had been recovering since being injured in the U.S.-Mexico World Cup qualifier in October.
Tim Howard will make his first start since November on Saturday when the Colorado Rapids visit the New York Red Bulls.
Howard had been sidelined since suffering a right adductor in the World Cup qualifying match between the U.S. national team and Mexico on Nov. 11.
