Aggies sweep doubleheader from Miners

The first one was a duel, a duel that could have gone either way. The second one was Aggies and all Aggies.

New Mexico State won a tight, tense 8-4 duel with UTEP in game one and then run-ruled the Miners 13-4 in the nightcap to sweep a doubleheader from UTEP on a chilly, breezy Tuesday night at Helen of Troy Softball Field.

"In the first game we made five errors and it's hard to win a game with five errors," UTEP coach Tobin Echo-Hawk said. "A little more solid defensively and that could have been our game.
