Last season was a special one for the UAB Blazers in many ways. They won 26 games, including 16 in Conference USA, and improved a great deal from the season before.
But the season ended with an upset loss in the conference tournament and a loss in the first round of the NIT.
Still the Blazers still have plenty of talent and a new coach in former associate head coach Robert Ehsan, who replaced Jereod Haase. Haase is now the coach at Stanford.
"We want to build on last year. The end of the season left a bad taste in our mouth," Ehsan said.
