The young man from Americas High even found a way when, really, there was no way. UTEP has an overflow of guards. He is too small to play inside in Division 1 basketball. Way too small. He is listed at 6-foot-3. He admits to being "maybe 6-2 1/2." How can he survive down there in the paint where the 6-8, 6-10, 7-footers roam?
He was not even recruited to UTEP.
Yet here he is ... an integral part of this Miner team that has 17 wins and a six-game winning streak.
