Heading into the summer, the absolute biggest area of need for an otherwise deep UTEP football team was at quarterback, where they finished spring with just two healthy veterans in Ryan Metz and Kavika Johnson.
The biggest piece of the new puzzle was announced Monday in Zack Greenlee, a transfer from Fresno State with starting experience. He had stated his intent to transfer to UTEP in April but had to get his degree from Fresno State before it could become official.
It's official now, and Greenlee will step right into what should be a wide open three-way quarterback battle that will begin in earnest on Aug.
