The UTEP football team isn't going to a bowl this season, but heading into the Week 11 game with Rice, coach Sean Kugler does see positives as his team moves forward.
"Really, my main focus is on this team and the improvements we are making," he said at his weekly press conference. "It's my job to find the positives and build on that.
"Offensively at the mid-point of the season, we were averaging 16 points per game. Since the midpoint of the season, a lot has to do with starting Ryan Metz, we're averaging 36.5. Running, we've gone from 153 to 220, our average carry has gone from 4.
