Sean Kugler didn't have many answers for what went wrong in the 44-24 loss to Rice on Saturday, but he made one thing very clear at his weekly news conference: He doesn't plan on Saturday's game against North Texas being his last at UTEP.
"I'm not going to make excuses for this year; we didn't get the job done," he said. "I was hoping changing systems would happen sooner. But do we have the right coaches in place? Absolutely. Do we have the right players in place? Absolutely.
"It didn't click this year, but I'm not giving up on myself; I'm not giving up on the program.
