Last season turned out to be a remarkable one for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders men's basketball team. They won 25 games, won the Conference USA men's basketball tournament and as a No. 15 seed in the NCAA Tournament stunned No. 2 Michigan State.
After the season, players and coaches were recognized for their efforts both nationally and in Tennessee.
"It was great to see the players get recognized and to experience some of the things we did," longtime Blue Raiders coach Kermit Davis said. "It was really a special season, a special postseason for us."
In 2015, UAB knocked off Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament and Old Dominion reached the Final Four of the NIT.
