One of the fundamental cliches of football is to play every snap like it's the last.
For 20 seniors on the UTEP football team, there will come a point Saturday against North Texas where, from a collegiate perspective, that is literally true. For the vast majority of them, they will be done with a sport they've devoted a decade and a half to.
Before that there is one more game, a chance to write a happy ending to their playing careers. They'll go into it with predictably mixed emotions.
"It's a little bittersweet," said Darrin Laufasa, who started at fullback the day he arrived in 2013.
