Keith Frazier, a 6-foot-5 guard and graduate transfer, has signed with UTEP and was admitted to classes Tuesday.
Frazier, who played his first three seasons with SMU, will pursue a Master's degree in leadership studies and will be eligible to play this season, pending NCAA approval of a medical redshirt season in 2016-17. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
Frazier, who was a McDonald's All-American for Kimball High School in Dallas, played four games for the University of North Texas last season before getting injured.
“We are looking forward to integrating Keith into what we think can be a very fine basketball team,” UTEP coach Tim Floyd said.
