Given all of the UTEP football team's health issues this spring, there may not be a big correlation between the spring depth chart and the one the Miners actually put on the field in September.
Nowhere is that more pronounced than the area of biggest change, the linebacker position. They've doubled in number, and four potential starters in Nick Usher, Luke Elsner, Stephen Forester and Alvin Jones are out this spring.
That, though, means opportunities for others, and at the two middle positions in particular this means a chance for an entire gang of players who haven't seen much of the field to take their shot.
