UTEP is cruising right on pace through the early part of its cross country schedule, the easy part of its schedule, the workout part of its schedule.
UTEP, which was ranked 13th in the nation in the pre-season poll, swept through the UNM Invitational in Albuquerque last week and then through the Lori Fitzgerald Classic Friday evening at Chamizal Memorial. Next weekend is the Kachina Classic in Las Cruces.
And then the real season begins.
"The first three meets are really low key," UTEP cross country coach Paul Ereng said. "We are just working to get ready for the end of the month and Notre Dame.
