To a player, each member of the UTEP women's basketball team admits she hadn't been through anything quite like this past weekend in the Miami area.
By the numbers, no Miner team ever has.
On Thursday, there was a three-overtime, 88-87 loss to Florida International on a near-midcourt buzzer beater, the same night the UTEP men beat FIU 88-87 on a double-overtime buzzer beater.
Two days later, in nearby Boca Raton, the Miners watched FAU's buzzer beater bounce out to leave them with a 51-50 victory.
It marked the first time in program history they had back-to-back games decided by one point and this came two weeks after the Miners lost by two to UTSA in overtime.
