UTEP, simply refusing to lose on this beautiful, magical Saturday afternoon of celebration, rallied from 19 points down in the final half of the final half and then outlasted Western Kentucky in overtime, taking a 93-89 win in front of 12,000 fans in the Don Haskins Center ... and nine members of that historic 1966 Texas Western NCAA Championship team.
It was a day of celebration and a day to honor champions from 50 years ago. Both teams played in 1966 throwback uniforms.
