Sean Kugler has a simple theory when evaluating football teams, one that begins to explain his big view of the game.
"Coverage units display your team toughness," he said. "I usually point out the opponent's coverage units and PAT/field goal block. You see a good kick cover unit, that's the sign of a tough team.
"Coverage units are about want-to, desire."
Here's what Kugler's talking about: "I love it," deep snapper Cooper Foster said. "You get to run down and smack somebody. Who wouldn't want to be on the punt team?"
Not surprisingly, it's an area where Kugler's teams are usually solid.
