For several reasons, the spring that begins Monday is the most pivotal yet in the Sean Kugler era.
Coming off the injury-riddled 5-7 campaign, the Miners are installing a new offense and a new defense with new coordinators and a largely revamped coaching staff. There's a three-way quarterback battle, which always livens up spring, and a number of players who will be anchors for the team this fall are out with injuries.
