UTEP put together a total team effort to send a quartet of seniors off with a flourish.
The Miners pounded out a dozen hits, got solid pitching and played near-flawless defense to send off seniors Kawehiokalani Netane, Danielle Pearson, Morgan Rasmason and Jade Rodriguez with the taste of victory.
Linda Garcia clubbed a two-run home run and Taylor Sargent launched a solo blast far over the left field fence to break a 3-3 tie and propel the Miners to a 6-3 victory over North Texas on a sunny, breezy Sunday afternoon at Helen of Troy Field.
