Notebook: Depth making difference for Miners

The UTEP women's basketball team has done many things well, as their 13-1 start indicates, and much of that goes back to its remarkable depth.

Eleven of the 15 players (a 16th, Jessica Barbosa, is redshirting) are averaging at least 9.9 minutes per game and the other four are averaging more than 5.0, albeit in limited appearances. The only other Miner team analogous to this one was the NCAA tournament team of 2011-12 which had 11 players averaging 11.7 minutes or more.

That's shown up in a variety of ways, and one obvious one is in the fourth quarter.
