As it turns out, UTEP coach Sean Kugler was serious about Zack Greenlee's status being up in the air.
He didn't practice Tuesday because of a knee injury sustained in the first quarter against New Mexico State and his status for the Texas game will be determined later in the week.
He spent team periods with the offense watching, typical for players who have a chance to play by Saturday.
"We'll evaluate him as the week goes," Kugler said. I don't know yet. I won't know for a day or two."
Ryan Metz and Kavika Johnson split time with the first and second teams Tuesday.
