Kavika Johnson is still in the mix to be a starting quarterback, according to coach Sean Kugler, but he also played extensively at receiver and a little at running back in Saturday's final scrimmage of the fall.
"Kavika Johnson and Ryan Metz and Zack Greenlee are three talented quarterbacks. They are too athletic to have two of them standing next to me," Kugler said. "It wouldn't make sense not to capitalize on all three. We'll have two quarterbacks on the field. It causes preparation time (for the opponent) and it gets our athletes on the field."
Johnson had two catches from Metz for 29 yards and four rushes for 17 yards.
