Notes: Jones grabs more records

Related Topics: Touchdown

All the drama of Aaron Jones' chase of the single-season rushing record ended in the first quarter when he rushed for 127 yards to break Donald Buckram's 2009 mark of 1,594, and by the end of a 301-yard night he had created some different drama.

He got within four yards of the single-season record with a season-long 87-yard touchdown run on the Miners' second possession, tied it on his next carry and broke it with another 4-yard run with 49 seconds left in the opening period. The 126 first-quarter yards marked the sixth 100-yard quarter of his career.
