Holes and yards were hard to come by for Aaron Jones in the 44-24 loss to Rice Saturday, as he was held to his third lowest rushing production of the year (75 yards on 14 carries), though he did have a 42-yard touchdown reception and 51 receiving yards on five catches.
He now has 1,472 rushing yards this season, 122 short of Donald Buckram's single-season school record. His 36 career touchdowns moved him past Johnie Lee Higgins and into second all-time, though he still needs 15 to catch John Harvey. Jones' touchdown was his 16th of the season, tied for fifth on the single-season list.
