Notes: Jones seeks single-season rushing record

There are always school records at stake when Aaron Jones lines up as tailback, and one of the biggest is right in front of him.

UTEP's all-time leading rusher comes in with 1,472 rushing yards this season and needs 122 to catch Donald Buckram's 2009 season for the program record. That incidentally would be his 17th career 100-yard game and would give him that program record he currently shares with John Harvey.

"That's something I want to do, I want to break the record," Jones said of the single-season rushing mark. "That's a goal I set for myself.
