The Pac-12 is a quarterback-oriented league, so Stanford has seen a bunch of elite players at the position.
That helps in preparation for a facing player like North Carolina's Mitch Trubisky in Sunday's Hyundai Sun Bowl, though the Cardinal stressed that Trubisky is unique.
"I don't know if it's an advantage to be able to play against good quarterbacks because this guy is different," coach David Shaw said. "He's got the best of everybody. You see the quick release of (Luke Falk) from Washington State, the savvy of (Jake Browning) from Washington, the athletic ability of a couple of guys we've played.
