RUIDOSO, N.M. — UTEP's first two-a-day was slated for Tuesday, but unforeseen circumstances kind of created one Friday.
For the first time in the Sean Kugler era, the first time since the Camp Socorro era, a UTEP practice was interrupted by lightning, and after waiting for about half an hour, Kugler decided to postpone the final hour of Friday's practice until after lunch.
Friday's workout began at 9:45 a.m.under bright skies, but by the half-hour mark a storm cloud rolled in and just short of an hour after the practice began there was a strike within six miles that led to a delay.
