UTEP has a fairly miserable history in humid weather, including a loss at Texas in 2009 when almost half the team missed time during the game because of heat issues. Most recently they flopped at Florida International last year on a humid October day.
"I do understand playing in hot and humid environments, it takes its toll," coach Sean Kugler said. "Our guys have to be smart. They have to hydrate throughout the week, they’ve got to take care of their bodies, they’ve got to eat properly and they’ve got to rest properly. And they have to do the same during the game.
