New Mexico State entered Saturday's game against UTEP needing an offensive spark after three straight tough losses.
And the 6-5 Aggies got it in the form of Ian Baker and Jalyn Pennie as the visitors from Las Cruces earned a sweep of the 6-4 Miners with a 73-53 win at the Don Haskins Center. New Mexico State downed UTEP, 73-59, earlier this month in Las Cruces.
The 6-foot-7 Pennie, who is from Toronto, Canada, helped spark the Aggies to an early 14-0 lead with a pair of 3-pointers en route to a career-best 14 points. He added eight rebounds.
