Thornton works way back to WNBA

Edited by Sarah Ann Duenas/El Paso Times

Kayla Thornton isn't a star for the Dallas Wings yet, but in many ways she embodies them.

UTEP's all-time leading scorer and rebounder is a second-year WNBA player on a second-year franchise, both are better than they were last season and both are so young.

This is about promising new beginnings all around, and for Thornton it's some validation for her hard work in South Korea and Puerto Rico before that as she's fought her way back into the WNBA after two years out of it.
