All season long, the UTEP women's basketball team has gone by the motto that as long as they kept winning, everything else would fall into place.
That led to a conference championship and Sunday the Miners got something else to show for it on the All-Conference USA team. Cameasha Turner and Jenzel Nash were first-team selections, Starr Breedlove made the second team and Breedlove joined Turner on the all-defensive team, as voted on by coaches and selected media.
Because of UTEP's depth they didn't have any players with huge numbers, but the Miners' 16-2 league record was recognized, as Nash (10th in the league in scoring) and Turner (15th) joined the league's top six scorers on the eight-player first team.
