The UTEP football team has just about everything stacked against it Saturday in West Point.
They have never won in the Eastern time zone, they lost by 52 points at home to Army last year, they have yet to identify anything that consistently works on offense and defense. Army is an ascending program, and if the Miners aren't descending, it's because they've hit rock bottom.
As UTEP's marketing wing figured out, this is the Miners' 100th season of football and there simply isn't precedent in that century for the Miners to win a game like this.
