UTEP will face a most difficult challenge Saturday in Birmingham ... perhaps the most difficult yet this season.
The Miners take on red-hot University of Alabama at Birmingham at noon MT — a Blazer team with a 12-3 record and a 2-0 Conference USA mark, a Blazer team fresh off a 104-82 Thursday night roasting of UTSA, a Blazer team that has shot 50 percent or better from the field in seven of its last eight games, a Blazer team that is the pre-season pick to win this conference.
If recent history is any indication, though, this one should be close.
