UTEP Football: Mack Leftwich expected to return for spring ball

After suffering two major concussions that limited him to eight games in 2015, UTEP head coach Sean Kugler confirmed that Mack Leftwich will return and participate in spring drills.

"Mack's back." Sean Kugler said. He'll be a full go."

Message board chatter and people close to the program thought Leftwich could possibly hang up the cleats after the two injuries last season, but Leftwich will indeed return to fight for a starting quarterback job in 2016.

UTEP starts spring practice on March 19th and has already begun off-season conditioning earlier this week, but will be without nine players who suffered season ending injuries in 2015 that required surgery.
