EL PASO, Texas -- Earvin Morris Jr. had 23 points as UTEP got hot in the second half to roll over Texas-San Antonio 81-74 on Saturday.
Morris was 9 of 13 from the floor as the Miners made 70 percent of their field goals in the second period, finishing with 25-of-44 shooting.
Lee Moore added 15 points, Dominic Artis and Omega Harris had 13 each for UTEP (18-13, 10-8 Conference USA), which will have the No. 6 or No. 7 seed in the conference tournament, depending on the outcome of the North Texas-Charlotte game, played later Saturday.
