UTEP looks to end skid Sunday

The UTEP Miners worked their way through final exam week, working on an important aspect of their game.

"We've worked on us," UTEP coach Tim Floyd said.

The Miners opened the season with a fine flurry, dousing their first six opponents and posting a glossy 6-0 mark. Then came a trip to New Mexico State. Then came UT-Arlington. And now the Miners are 6-2 and "working on us."

The Miners have traveled to Pullman, Wash., to try out this work, taking on Washington State at 4 p.m. MT on Sunday.

Washington State is 5-2 and will pose a problem for the undersized Miners.
