The UTEP men's cross country team received an at-large bid from the NCAA Saturday and will compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 19, in Terre Haute, Ind.
The top two teams in each of nine regions received automatic bids. The Miners received one of 13 at-large bids in the national field of 31 teams. The Miners, who were ranked 15th in the nation, finished fifth in the NCAA Mountain Region Friday in Ogden, Utah. However, the top three finishers in that race — Northern Arizona, Colorado and Brigham Young — were ranked first, second and third in the nation respectively.
