The unquestioned strength of the UTEP football team heading into the season was the offensive line.

The group was big, athletic and experienced, the end result of a philosophy to build around the trench.

The reality through seven weeks has been far different. UTEP hits its bye week with an 0-7 record, the second worst start in program history (they were 0-11 in 1973), and the offensive line is still searching for an identity.

UTEP is 127th out of 129 teams in rushing offense, 129th in total offense and has allowed 14 sacks.
