EL PASO, Texas -- Hooper Vint and Omega Harris scored 19 points apiece as UTEP beat Florida Atlantic 71-56 on Thursday night to snap a three-game losing skid.
Vint, who finished a point short of his career high, had 12 in the second half. Harris hit 3 of 4 from long range and made all six free-throw attempts. Lee Moore added nine points and dished out eight assists for UTEP, which had won four consecutive games before dropping three straight.
The Miners (11-8, 3-3 Conference USA) sprinted to a 15-0 lead and was up 40-20 at the break.
