Houston wouldn't seem like the unfriendliest of cities for UTEP to play in, as the roster usually is well-represented by players from that area, the Miners have an alumni base there that typically shows up for games and it's a fairly short plane flight.
The reality is they are 2-12 in that city, including 10 consecutive losses. They have lost their last five at Rice Stadium, where they are 2-8 all-time.
As one would imagine, they aren't hung up on those statistics.
"Every game is the same regardless of where you play," coach Sean Kugler said.
