UTEP tries to get back on track against FIU

The opportunity to save a season is directly in front of UTEP Saturday night at the Sun Bowl.

The opponent is 1-4 Florida International, a team sitting at minus-6 in turnovers — a team that has thrown too many interceptions and not gotten enough of them. Partly because of those turnovers, the Panthers have struggled to score and by the numbers have one of the worst scoring offenses in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

They've cycled through quarterbacks and are now back where they started.

The flip side? Swap the team names in the above paragraphs and that's exactly what the Panthers are looking at.
