UTEP tries to slow down high-flying Charlotte

Chrishauna Parker will never forget the last time Charlotte came to El Paso for a women's basketball game. She'll also never forget what happened three days later.

Midway through the WNIT finalist season, the 49ers arrived and hung 92 points on the Miners for what at the time was the first home loss of the year. When the team returned to practice Tuesday, signs announcing the 92-86 Charlotte victory hung in every corner of the Foster-Stevens practice facility, signs that were still there a month later for the 49ers to see when they came for the Conference USA tournament.
