Jacobson Advances, Weather Delays Events

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Day three of the NCAA West Preliminaries saw plenty of action throughout the day, as the event would come to a standstill after inclement weather postponed most of the events.

Due to a mixture of lightning and heavy rain, the NCAA West Prelims only saw the conclusion of the women's hammer throw, along with the men's high jump, triple jump, and discus finish all heats Friday from E.B. Cushing Stadium. After multiple delays, the third day of competition was suspended which would mean Paul Ryan (1500-meter), Zach Stallings (1500-meter), Colton Johnsen (3000-meter Steeple, 5000-meter), and Sam Brixey (110-meter hurdles) will have to wait until Saturday to hit the track and compete.
